On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most difficult, this project is a 1. It took me a total of 3 hours to complete and that's with glue and spray paint drying time.
Supplies:
- Balsa wood
- Variety of fake succulents (I used 7 total with 4 different varieties)
- Floral foam block
- Bag of fake moss
- Wood glue
- Spray paint/paint
- Miter box (optional)
Technically I would have been finished at this point, but when I placed the planter box on my mantel I noticed that it was a perfect match to the wall and fireplace. Clearly I have a thing with stone color! That was a bit too much neutral even for me so I went back and used a brush to lightly paint on a coat of gray paint. I went with Behr Pencil Point.
